High Performance Intercooler BMW 1/2/3/4 Series - B38/N13/N20/N26/N55

A direct bolt-on bar-and-plate intercooler for turbocharged F-chassis BMWs, replacing the restrictive factory unit with a far thicker, higher-flowing aluminium core. The factory tube-and-fin intercooler is designed for stock boost. Once tuned, boost and airflow rise well beyond what it can shed, so it heat soaks, the DME pulls timing to protect the engine, and power fades pull after pull. This core keeps intake temperatures down so a tuned car makes the same power on the fifth run as the first.

What it does

• Drops intake temps. On the dyno, charge temps fell from 63°C stock to 42°C after five back-to-back runs, a 21°C reduction.
• Protects a tuned engine. Lower, stable charge temps mean the DME keeps its timing instead of pulling it, reducing knock and pre-detonation risk while holding consistent power under repeated pulls.
• Flows more freely through an enlarged flow path that cuts pressure drop and restriction versus the factory core.
• Replaces fragile OEM plastic with all-aluminium construction that handles high boost and lasts.
• The essential supporting mod for Stage 1 and Stage 2 tunes, and a smart upgrade even on a stock car in hot climates.
